With over 20 years of experience, Subir Thakur’s journey as a flute teacher and performer is deeply rooted in tradition, passion, and dedication. Under the guidance of his own revered Gurus, he learned the sacred art of Bansuri playing by absorbing not only the technicalities of the flute, but also the spiritual essence of classical music. His Gurus instilled in him, the understanding of music not just as a skill but as a way to connect with the universe and the soul.
Subir Thakur believes that learning flute is not merely about playing musical notes, but about expressing one’s innermost emotions and its attachment with the soul. He encourages students to approach the flute playing as a spiritual journey, that requires patience, devotion, and open heart.
